Italian Mazzucchelli 1849 acetate.
Cut from the same cellulose-acetate blocks Mazzucchelli has poured since 1849. Every Soletti frame is sliced and shaped by hand, then tumbled for seventy-two hours. The polish is what acetate does when it is left alone long enough.

The Vivaldi was drawn on a winter morning at a marina in Miami. The light off the water at six a.m. is impossible — you need a polarized lens or you are squinting through your own coffee. The frame had to be architectural enough to read on the deck and quiet enough to wear with a navy blazer at lunch.
Black acetate over a polished gunmetal core. You can see the metal at the temple — it is the spine that lets us run the frame thinner than acetate alone would allow. The polish is what Mazzucchelli does when you tumble the blocks long enough. We tumble for seventy-two hours.
We paired it with the Submariner Date because the tool watch and the tool frame belong on the same wrist, before anyone else is up.
