Italian Mazzucchelli 1849 acetate.
Cut from the same cellulose-acetate blocks Mazzucchelli has poured since 1849. Every Soletti frame is sliced and shaped by hand, then tumbled for seventy-two hours. The polish is what acetate does when it is left alone long enough.

The Pagani is the smallest frame I have ever drawn. Fifty at the lens, twenty at the bridge, a temple of one hundred and thirty-eight — measurements that read as jewellery rather than as eyewear. The acetate is petite, the gold trim along the brow is the only ornament, and the lens is the colour of a rosé held against the late sun.
I drew the Pagani for the youngest woman at the table. The one who has been told all evening that she is too young to own what she owns, who orders the last drink and pays for it. The frame is small because she does not need it to be larger.
We paired it with the Royal Oak Mini in rose gold with a black onyx diamond dial because both pieces are the same idea: small, audacious, the only piece of jewellery a woman who already owns everything will allow herself.
